Trust & safety
Warm by default.
Strong when it matters.
Cpal is built for calm conversation, not casino-grade engagement loops. The trust work runs underneath every screen — identity checks, reporting that actually listens, in-person meeting guidance, and a small set of clear data practices.
Three quiet pillars
What we always do.
Verified identities
Every local guide goes through identity review before they appear in discovery. Travelers see the same care.
Reporting that listens
One tap from any profile or conversation. We respond fast, listen first, and never make you re-explain.
Quiet by design
No casino of badges, urgency banners, or paywalls dressed as features. The product respects your time.
Identity verification
Local guides verify identity before they go live. Travelers do a lighter version of the same check. We use this only for trust decisions; we don't sell, share, or use it for advertising.
Meeting in person
Cpal is an introduction service, not a guarantor. When you meet someone you found through Cpal, follow the same care you'd bring to any first meeting:
- Choose a public place for a first meeting.
- Tell a friend where you're going and when you expect to be back.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave.
- Be skeptical of anyone asking for money, a transfer, or a third-party app outside Cpal.
Reporting
You can report a profile or conversation from a one-tap menu inside the app. Reports go to a real human on our trust team, who reviews and responds. We keep you informed about what happened.
Blocking
Block from any profile or conversation. Blocks are private, take effect immediately, and persist across re-installs.
Data and retention
We keep what we need for trust and safety, and only for as long as we need it. You can request deletion of your account data at any time — see our privacy policy for the long-form details, or write to privacy@cridge.app.
Community guidelines
Cpal is a place for warm conversation and curiosity about cities. It is not a place for harassment, hate speech, sexual content directed at strangers, illegal activity, or attempts to move conversations off-platform under pressure. We remove accounts that break these rules without long debates.
